Warranty and Return Policy
UNIROCA S.A.S guarantees the quality of its industrial footwear and apparel products, manufactured under technical and safety standards.
This policy establishes the conditions, procedures, and limitations applicable to warranty claims, both domestically and for exports, in accordance with Colombian legislation and the commercial terms agreed upon with each client.
- The claim must be submitted within the current warranty period and must include:
- Copy of the invoice.
- Clear and complete photographs and/or videos of the product (minimum three angles) that show the defect. IMPORTANT IMAGE OF THE TRACE LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE RIGHT TONGUE.
- Order details, order number, or delivery note.
If physical inspection is required, UNIROCA S.A.S may request the product to be sent to its facilities, with prior authorization.
- The warranty will cover the replacement of footwear with the same size and reference, or, by mutual agreement with the client, with other products to make up the warranty value.
- The quality warranty is for six (6) months for REFERENCES IN THE TPU-PU/RUBBER AND PU BIDENSITY LINES AND FOUR (MONTHS) FOR PU MONODENSITY AND CEMENTED LINES, and exclusively covers verifiable manufacturing defects, provided that the product has been used under normal conditions and for the work environment for which it was designed.
The following are considered valid warranty reasons:
- Pronounced lateral detachment (greater than 5 mm) between the leather and the sole.
- Broken or defective stitching, provided they are not the result of misuse, mechanical stress, or incineration.
- Excessive carding as a defect in the injection process.
- Footwear finish failures: uneven leather tone, excess dye, unpolished parts, among others.
- Physical defects in the sole that compromise its mechanical properties.
- Breakage or tearing of the leather due to low gauge, provided there is no evidence of misuse.
- Returns or claims will not be accepted if the footwear: shows signs of misuse or intentional damage. Has been modified or repaired by third parties. Has been used outside of the recommended conditions.
- Returns will not be accepted for products manufactured more than one (1) year ago, especially footwear with polyurethane (PU) soles or midsoles, due to the nature of the material.
- Nor will returns be accepted if the product is obsolete, discontinued, or out of line.
UNIROCA S.A.S reserves the right to analyze the product through visual or technical inspection before authorizing replacement or credit note. The request will be reviewed, and a response will be provided within the times established by law, or according to current commercial conditions.
Procedure and timings
Once the complete claim is received, UNIROCA S.A.S will analyze the request and issue a response within the legal deadlines (maximum 15 business days in Colombia) or according to commercial conditions agreed upon for export. REVIEW RESPONSE TIMES: THREE DAYS ARE ESTABLISHED IF THE FOOTWEAR IS IN-LINE, AND EIGHT DAYS IF IT NEEDS TO BE PRODUCED.
If approved, the following will proceed:
- Replacement of the product with the same reference and size or issuance of a credit note for the value of the defective product, by mutual agreement with the client.
Special Note – Applicable to Exports
In the case of international sales, the following additional conditions apply:
- Verification of packaging and receipt of merchandise:
UNIROCA S.A.S. packs all its products in safe, sealed, and suitable conditions for international transport.
The client or their freight agent must inspect the merchandise at the time of delivery, verifying the condition of the packaging, the integrity of the seals, the quantity received, and its correspondence with the shipping documents.
Any irregularity related to breakages, humidity, seal tampering, shortages, or visible damage must be immediately recorded on the corresponding transport document (air waybill, bill of lading, or delivery note) and notified in writing to UNIROCA S.A.S. within seven (7) calendar days following receipt, attaching photographic evidence.
Claims for damage occurring during transport are not considered product warranty but rather logistical incidents that will be reviewed jointly with the transport company or the responsible freight agent.
The absence of a report within the indicated period will be understood as acceptance of the physical condition and packaging of the cargo, with no possibility of subsequent claim for transport damage..
- Warranty conditions for exports
Once the merchandise has been received and accepted, any subsequent claim must correspond to manufacturing defects, in accordance with the warranty conditions established by UNIROCA S.A.S.
If a claim is approved, the following will proceed:
- Replace the product with the same size and reference, in a subsequent shipment, or
- Issue a credit note for the corresponding value of the claimed product, as agreed between the parties.
- Contractual application
The responsibilities of UNIROCA S.A.S. and the buyer will be governed by the Incoterm agreed upon (CIF, CIP, FCA, or other).
Order confirmation and receipt of the cargo will be considered acceptance of the condition and conformity of the merchandise.
In case of an approved claim, UNIROCA S.A.S may:
- Replace the product with the same reference and size, in a subsequent shipment, or
- Issue a credit note for the corresponding value, as agreed between the parties.
