The year 2024 has been a period of changes and improvements within the Company. One area that has not been immune to this transformation is the Maintenance Department, specifically in the technological renovation process at UNIROCA's Footwear Plant.

Below is a brief overview of the new machines that have been incorporated into the Company to increase capacity in key processes in the manufacturing of work footwear, such as stitching and lasting of uppers.

Three post-type sewing machines with the following characteristics were purchased for the footwear manufacturing process:

IVOMAQ POST SEWING MACHINE:

Industrial post or column sewing machine with triple feed by lower roller, rolling foot (upper) and two needles, needle spacing 3mm in tandy (diagonal), needle system 134 (Dpx5), 134-35 (DPx35), thread from 60 to 10 presser foot or central guide, rolling foot diameter 35mm, large hook, electric tack (solenoid).

These new pieces of equipment guarantee an improvement in the stitching of our uppers, a reduction in time lost due to breakdowns of obsolete machinery, which does not have adequate spare parts availability. For this new year, it is expected to purchase other similar machines to continue the renovation process.

IVOMAQ LASTING MACHINE:

Two Ivomaq lasting machines with manual gatherers were acquired. With this new equipment, the capacity in a key process within upper manufacturing, such as the stitching of the insole, was guaranteed to increase. This 43% increase also includes an improvement in the ergonomics of the process for the personnel operating the machines, as it is no longer necessary to exert effort for the insoles to pass through the discs for stitching. The machine performs this process automatically, avoiding the wear and tear that previous equipment presented.

For 2025, a new heavy-duty lasting machine for stitching anti-puncture insoles is expected to be acquired.
